The project opens the axis of research BODIES IN DECELERATION.
As we celebrate 15 years of continuous research in dance, performance and urban intervention, TRÍADE proposes the investigation of aging, the passage of time and the deceleration in/of the bodies. Intended to reflect, dance and publicize the debater around the gains and losses of the (inevitable) process of aging. We intend to reflect, dance and publicize the debates around the gains and losses of the (inevitable) process of aging – by principle, a heterogeneous and plural phenomena. It seems timely to make it through dance. After all, despite of the ruptures in contemporary dance, occidental scenic dance is still mainly a field for the parade of young potent, flexible bodies. As we decelerate, the bodies are – literally – taken off scene.
We highlight the heterogeneity of oldness as a central aspect. Just as we don’t all live in the same manner, we also age in plural ways, in terms of conditions, privileges and choices. This body that decelerates, what space does it have and – more important - what space does it want to have?

BODIES IN DECELERATION is structured in consonance to the plurality of practices and voices and is composed by:

• TWO new editions of LABORATÓRIO TIQUETAQUE, one at Casa de Cultura do Tremembé (São Paulo city North) and other at Casa de Cultura do Butantã (São Paulo city West),resulting in specific triptychs for each location;
• Invitation to take part in GRUPA DE ARTISTAS COLABORADORES plural and diverse, all born in 1978 or before: Fredy Cunha, Marco Xavier, Rose Prado and Sandra-X with the intent of interchanges in a RESIDENCY | BODIES IN DECELERATION;
• STUDY GROUPS for artists of the project + those interested, in two phases: (i) “Themes oa Gerontology" (oriented by Prof. Bibiana Graeff) and (ii) “Dancing the aging: the body in deceleration and the dances" (oriented by artists of the GROUP);
• Forum BODIES IN DECELERATIONweekend of exchanges and debates, free entrance, at Centro Cultural São Paulo;
• Brand new creation of TRÍADE as a final poetic result to be erected from the exchanges and experiments carried out in the previous stages;
• And finally, the creation and publication of a BILINGUAL WEBSITE (Portuguese-English) that will compile the totality of the15 years of production of the group.
